About me.
My name is Stormy Legrand Brinson also known as "LUZID"I´m a contemporary street & pop artist currently residing in Leipzig, Germany. After studying art at the FKS Frei-Kunst-Schule Stuttgart, Germany I specialized in bright, colorful, Pop Art and imaginative character work for all living and business spaces.
I am inspired by cartoons, logos, street art, graffiti, childlike imagination, comics, world cultures, religions, politics, and much more.
Most of my time I spend creating fine art for gallies, Art shows, clothing, toys, figurines, businesses, and creating large murals all around the world. I am a visual raconteur - a storyteller with a paintbrush, my mind’s eye planted deep within the subconscious. It is the undecided tone between sincerity and irony that makes my artwork distinctly contemporary, my visual vocabulary distinctly my own, but with a worldwide audience.

How did the Arts Fuel your Personal Growth and Produce your Own Self-Discovery - Art gave me life that I didn’t know I needed; it acted as a direct channel to my heart. I discovered myself and the truth of who I am. My life had truly begun. Art reacquainted me with my heart and for that I will forever be grateful. Art saved my life
What is the Essence of Creativity and Its Role in Everyday Life - Creativity makes life infinitely interesting and fulfilling. Creativity is a way of living life that embraces originality and makes unique connections between seemingly disparate ideas. Creativity is about living life as a journey into seeing and communicating the extra-ordinariness of the simplest, most everyday acts. We often think about creativity as making something, but in fact the root meaning of the word means ‘to grow. When we are creative we feel as if the world and all that is in it is vibrantly alive.
What is the Power of Visual Language in Communication and Learning - Visual language is a system that communicates through visual elements. It helps users perceive and understand visible signs. A painting is an example of visual communication because your eyes perceive its signs (like shapes and colors) and your brain interprets them. In a visual language, we also need patterns. So we can say that it is a set of signs and symbols that convey specific meanings using few or no words. That is, an image, a color, a symbol — alone or combined — must be associated with a concept. Moreover, those signs must be able to express the intended message in a way that people who will receive it can get its meaning. In Marketing, that means you have to know your audience and create a consistent communication system.
What is the meaning of your artwork? - My artwork is primarily the result of my need to create and communicate; it is both a challenge and an outlet; a discipline and a passion it also takes a critical view of social, political, and cultural issues.
What is a visual raconteur? - someone who is good at telling stories that communicates through visual elements.
What mediums do you work with? - I mostly work in Acrylic and spray paint on canvas. But I do also enjoy working with oil paint.
How would you describe your art style? - a conceptual exploration of the self-reflective narrative.
What are your artistic influences?- I think everything I see and experience in life influences my art in some way, whether directly or indirectly.
What would you say your artwork is trying to achieve? - room for interpretation”. To create platforms that trigger thoughts, feelings, emotions, and ideas.
In what ways do you think your artwork is in dialogue with contemporary society? - It provides opportunities to reflect on society and the issues that are important to us and the world.
How do you think your art will affect the audience? - When a person looks at a piece of art that they see as beautiful, there is an instantaneous release of dopamine, a chemical that is linked to feelings of love, into the brain.
What is the message behind your most famous piece "All about Money" - Well you know..it´s all about the money!

My Artist Statement
My artwork is primarily the result of my need to create and communicate; it is both a challenge and an outlet; a discipline and a passion it also takes a critical view of social, political, and cultural issues.
Having engaged subjects as diverse as the civil rights movement, black lives matter, the presidential election, and modernist capitalism, my work reproduces familiar topics, arranging them into new conceptual pieces.
Some reviews have labeled my work as ''black humor" but I always try to depict a positive message too. Though I work quite deliberately, consciously employing both traditional and innovative techniques, my unconscious is the undisputed project manager.
At school, the only class I really paid attention to was art. I simply wasn't interested in anything else. Some of my subject matter is about people's daily routines and a comment on our modern-day society.
None of it was intentional - it all developed and evolved over time. I just want my Artwork to open people's minds and let them think outside the box for a moment. Life is like a pencil, it always has to be sharpened.
